- Born and grew up in Dartford, Kent, came to Bristol University and never went back!
- Worked for Avon as an Educational Psychologist in Woodspring, later Area Senior in South Bristol, and then Bath and NE Somerset as Principal EP.
- Spent 20 years on the National Executive of the Association of Educational Psychologists, serving as Vice President and President, leading to contact with other national agencies and Government working parties.
- I now work part time for the Special Educational Needs Tribunal for Wales as a specialist panel member.
- Married to a retired primary headteacher, who is now working as an adviser for South Glos. We have 2 sons, two grandchildren and two dogs. I know my place!
- Lived in Clevedon in the 70s and 80s during which time I was a school governor on a primary, secondary and special school, chairing each at various times.
- Moved to Weston area in 89. I have been a governor and chair of several schools in Weston, and worked with governors on the Milton Park amalgamation, chairing the Temporary Governing Body. I was also involved with the Bournville and Yeo Moor amalgamations.
- I am passionate about education, and believe that all children, irrespective of their background or ability, have the right to the highest quality of education in a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment.
