- Back in September 2012, there was a local re-organisation of 3 schools in Worle to become Primary Schools - this included St Martin's and Worle Village Primary School. Becket Primary School became part of this collaboration of Worle Schools in September 2014. Also in September 2014, 3 primary schools from the south of Weston (Ashcombe, Christ Church and Hutton) formed the INSPIRE collaboration. In July 2016, these two smaller collaborations merged to form Kaleidoscope with a view to forming a Multi-Academy Trust - Kaleidoscope Multi-Academy Trust officially started on 1st September 2017. Crockerne joined the Trust in February 2019.
- Being a part of a MAT means that we will no longer be working directly under the Local Authority, but instead we will be reporting to the Regional Schools Commissioner and Ofsted. We will continue to work closely with our neighbouring schools whether they are Academies or Local Authority Schools. Instead of working under the different local authority advisers, we now operate as a Board which is organised into various strands.

A WELCOME FROM OUR CEO
Welcome to Kaleidoscope Multi-Academy Trust.
It has been my privilege to have been the CEO of Kaleidoscope since its inception in 2017. I have worked in education throughout my career having been a teacher, senior teacher, Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher at three schools (in Hertfordshire and North Somerset). I am lucky to work with a talented team across the seven schools within our Trust. When we set up Kaleidoscope, we wanted our MAT to be Primary focused, to stand out and celebrate the very best Primary schools can offer its children, families and staff. We do this by working together collaboratively, striving to achieve the very best education, opportunities and support we can.
At the heart of our philosophy you will see our 5Cs. Kaleidoscope and its schools ensure they are promoting and embedding the following;

From our 5Cs, we see ourselves as developing the whole child. This includes developing a love of learning, enabling our children to become inquiring and resilient learners, supporting their wellbeing and helping them to understand and see their role in the local, national and global context. We also want our children to enjoy reading and read for pleasure. This is at the heart of everything and provides access to wider learning opportunities.
By working together, we can develop excellence in our offer. Our leaders and staff work collaboratively to build and share expertise by reviewing and developing best policy and practice which is research led and evidence based.
Our children enjoy the opportunities they have to meet and take part in events, activities and projects with pupils in other Kaleidoscope schools. In this way they see themselves not only as members of their own schools, but part of the wider Kaleidoscope community.
If you are looking for a school for your child/ren, please have a look at the individual websites of Kaleidoscope schools and plan a visit to see them in action. You will see thriving pupils in wonderful environments, being taught an exciting and relevant curriculum. We would be delighted to play a role in your child's lifelong learning journey.
If you are a school that is thinking about joining a MAT, then please contact me if you want to hear more about how being a part of our outward looking and supportive team can benefit you.
Yours sincerely,
Simon Marriott, CEO Kaleidoscope Multi-Academy Trust

CHURCH SCHOOLS
How Kaleidoscope Supports It’s Church Schools
Kaleidoscope celebrates and supports its Church Schools vision, values and Christian distinctiveness. Church Schools and the communities they serve are important and integral members of our MAT and we work hard to ensure that our policies, procedures and actions capture this. This is encapsulated in our 5C's.
Half of our Members and Trustees are Foundation members and have been approved by the Diocese of Bath and Wells. Church Schools are a specific focus at our meetings and we have developed policies for the Church Schools within our MAT. Kaleidoscope has a close working partnership with the Diocese and our leaders and staff attend meetings/training led by the Diocese. In addition to this, we have our Church Schools Forum where we discuss policy and develop best practice across our Church Schools. As a MAT, our schools and leaders work closely together to support each other. This is part of Kaleidoscope's collaborative ethos.
